Hi, I'm Mell!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet. I’m weird. I’m hilarious. I am fiercely loyal until you suck, then I don’t care, go away. I believe that mayonnaise and crème fraîche are the duct tapes of food. They can fix anything.

You’re probably wondering about the name of this blog. Quick answer: When I was about 2 years old, my mother gave me a permanent. I wandered around like I was breakable, asking everyone if I was “still fluffy?”. The name stuck. Fluff became my nickname. Decades later, you will still hear people (way too many) calling me Fluff. Also, I’m Irish and cuss a lot.

I have always loved to cook, it’s the grocery shopping I hate. God bless Instacart! Even when I was very little I would have my tea parties in the backyard, making gorgeous mud-pie burgers, complete with Jade Plant pickles. When personal circumstances and Global Pandemic made cooking at home a must, I decided it was time to take life’s barrage of lemons and make some limoncello! Literally!
