J MOREAU & FILS VOUVRAY 2020

This was a very pleasant surprise of a wine and a perfect warm weather sipper. Although I personally would have considered a Demi-sec (off-dry) wine, that is a completely different bottle than this. Not being a huge fan of sweeter wines, the fresh tartness balances the sweetness beautifully. Vibrant, fresh, complex notes of apple, citrus, blossoms and maybe a hit of Tequila?
Vouvray is made from Chenin Blanc grapes grown along the banks of the Loire River in the Touraine district of France. While they can range widely in style, this particular lovely lingers and leaves you wanting another sip.

The light sweetness makes this wine a perfect pair for Asian dishes, even sweet and spicy Thai dishes are a nice match. I especially enjoyed it with curried chicken salad and look forward to trying it with other curries. Something about this wine enchants you. I did not expect to like it, let alone fall in love with it. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Slàinte!

Pssst! You can get a bottle here!

Personal development and life fulfillment coaching through food and wine may sound ridiculous and indulgent, but it is an extraordinarily simple concept. It is a unique approach that is geared toward food and wine lovers from all walks of life. This section aims to shed light on the concept of personal development and how it can be achieved through culinary experiences, the exploration of wines and being as silly as humanly possible, whenever possible.

With so many self-help gimmicks and fads out there, it’s important that we be very clear here. It’s about progress, not perfection. Personal development is a lifelong journey of self-improvement, self-awareness, and personal growth. Sounds like a lot, right?  It can be, which is where I fit in!   It involves understanding oneself, setting goals, developing skills and abilities all to enhance one’s overall well-being. Life fulfillment, on the other hand, is the deep satisfaction and contentment that comes from living a purposeful and meaningful life. There is no one-size-fits-all plan. There is no physical finish line. We are all a work in progress and that is what living is all about. It is also important to state that well-being, life fulfillment and healthy comes in all shapes and sizes.
